SEO - An underrated marketing strategy

Over the last decade, Google has become one of the largest companies in the world. Hardly anybody will even be able to get close to her anytime soon. Currently, their software is the most used in the world. The traffic that goes through their apps every second is huge. For reference, if we look only at their search engine, according to data from 2019, it receives over 65 thousand requests every second. We can imagine what incredible numbers we are talking about.

In fact, this search engine is also the most visited site in the world. In the coming years, these numbers are expected to jump at times. Everything is evolving at an incredible rate and the more Google users grow, the more Google’s power grows. But how do we use all this for our business?

We live in a digital age and everyone is on their phone, tablet or laptop. There is now Wi-Fi everywhere, and everyone is scrambling for hours on the internet. That’s why many businesses are shifting their marketing to digital. They pay for ads on various sites, run ads on Facebook, Instagram, pay for Google ads, etc.
All of this is great and may work perfectly for some businesses, but is this the best marketing strategy for them?

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is a marketing strategy that builds entirely on redirecting organic traffic to your website through search engines similar to Google’s. In fact, it is a well-known fact that almost no one optimizes their websites for search engines other than Google, I think it is logical why.

Wondering why this would be more useful to you than direct product advertising on Facebook? I certainly cannot tell you that in 100% of cases the SEO strategy will be the most successful for you. It all depends on your business. Everything must be tested before making the appropriate conclusions. However, one thing is for sure, good SEO always pays off to the relevant business, while with Facebook ads, things don’t work out that way.

When you properly optimize your website and it is on the first page of Google for certain keywords, it will certainly bring a lot of traffic to your site. Traffic you may not even be prepared to handle. In fact, Google’s search engine is the most crowded place on the Internet.

Think of it this way:

If you have a physical store and it’s located on the busiest streets in your city, with thousands of people passing by every day, you just have to be there, your store is open and you will organically reach a high turnover, no matter what you sell. Without putting up unnecessary badges, launching promotions, or agitating for people to enter your store with targeted advertising. The first page of Google is this busy street in your city, and in order to position your store there you have to optimize your website and it will automatically pay you off at times without almost any effort afterwards.
